It may not have escaped your attention that today is June 15th. Among all the things that happened on June 15, let us cite the invention of the lightning rod (in this case a kite), in the middle of the night, on June 15, 1752, during a violent storm, by Benjamin Franklin, who almost lost his skin. Remember that Benjamin Franklin also invented bifocal lenses and the controlled combustion stove. But also, in another genre, the very first lending library, while being the first to map the Gulf Stream and launching a journal which was a phenomenal success.
