Netflix has started filming a new Dutch series starring Hadewych Minis (Borgman (2013)) and Geert van Rampelberg (Knock Off (2023–2026)). The series, which currently has no title, revolves around a toxic relationship and is directed by Paula van der Oest (Love in a Bottle (2021)) and Remy van Heugten (Valentino (2013)). The production is in the hands of NL Film and Sunny Pictures.
Passionate but toxic relationship
When the always sensible Alex (Hadewych Minis) meets the charming Christiaan (Geert van Rampelberg), they fall in love with each other. Alex throws herself into this new, unexpected love with dedication. But the capriciousness with which he attracts and repulses her is maddening, and in her attempts to prove her love, Alex risks losing everything, including herself.
I look forward to translating this vulnerable story, carried by a wonderful cast, into a series. Depicting the anatomy of a toxic relationship requires precision and mutual trust from everyone on set. I look forward to the coming shooting period and to the collaboration with Netflix
