HBO Max has unveiled a new preview video that looks ahead to the rest of the year. It’s clear that there are quite a few big titles on the way in the coming months. In the video we see short fragments of both completely new series and returning audience favorites.
A great prospect
Without a doubt, it remains one of the most anticipated series of the year Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone (2026). After the teaser broke records earlier this year, HBO Max is now showing images of the young wizard again. The series can be seen on the streaming service from Christmas. DC fans will also get to see new material. Fragments of it can be seen Lanterns (2026) includes Kyle Chandler in costume. Furthermore, the universe turns The Big Bang Theory (2007–2019) back via the spin-off Stuart Fails to Save the Universe (2026). Finally, the promo confirms new seasons of House of the Dragon (2022– ), The Gilded Age (2022– ) in megapopular series The Pitt (2025– ).
HBO Max aan top?
The new promo mainly shows how broadly HBO Max wants to tackle the rest of 2026. In addition to major fantasy and franchise series, the streaming service is also heavily committed to new drama series, documentaries and original productions. Warner Bros. seems increasingly keen to intervene in the battle with Netflix. Especially the arrival of the new one Harry Potterseries could (temporarily) give the streaming service a franchise that is at the level of hype Stranger Things (2016–2025) could be.
