Who does Lori (Michaela Coel) work for? In theory, she is recruited to assist Julian Sklar (Ian McKellen), 86 years old, a London pop art painter who rose to fame at the turn of the 1960s and 70s. In reality, it is her children, Barnaby and Salli Milton Sklar (James Corden and Jessica Gunning), who hired her with a specific idea in mind: to use her talents as a forger so that she can complete eight paintings in a series of their father, The Christophers, and sell them at a high price upon his death. But, in reality, Lori could well only work for herself.
