The week of television kicks off with Timothée Chalamet in the romantic drama Call Me by Your Name (2017). In this summer film by Luca Guadagnino, 17-year-old Elio spends the high season in the Italian countryside with his parents. He becomes intrigued when handsome American research assistant Oliver visits to work with Elio’s scholarly father.
The hard western follows on Tuesday Django Unchained (2012). This Tarantino film starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Jamie Foxx is set in the American South, two years before the outbreak of the American Civil War. Due to his brutal history, Django comes into contact with the wayward bounty hunter King Schultz, who has just opened the hunt for the murderous Brittle Brothers.
Fancy comedy? Then tune in to SBS9 on Wednesdays The Intern (2015). The drama with Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway follows a 70-year-old widower who is bored out of his mind now that he has retired. He seizes the opportunity to participate again and starts as a senior intern at an online fashion website. Much to the chagrin of his boss Jules Ostin.
On Thursday it gets a bit more serious with the intense classic Life is beautiful (1997). During the Second World War, a father and his son are deported to a concentration camp. To spare the child the prospect of certain death, he presents the journey as a game. The man believes that in this way he can save his son’s mental health.

Soul (2020) should certainly not be forgotten, so Friday it is the turn of this Disney Pixar film. Pete Docter’s animated film airs Saturday on STAR Channel. The work tells the story of music teacher Joe Gardner. He gets the chance of a lifetime, until he suddenly finds himself in the so-called ‘Beforeworld’. Desperate to return to his life, Joe decides to team up with the youthful soul 22.
Saturday it’s time for some mindless action with The Terminator (1984). In 2029, Earth will be dominated by supercomputers determined to wipe out the human race! To destroy humanity’s future, the devious machines plan to change the past. An indestructible cyborg, a Terminator, is sent to the past to kill Sarah Conner, as she is the woman who will give birth to a future rebel leader. Can Sarah protect herself and her unborn child from the unstoppable enemy?
We end the week with Stardust (2007), which airs Sundays on Paramount Network. In the English village of Wall, a young man, Tristan (Charlie Cox), goes on a journey to win the heart of his beloved Victoria (Sienna Miller). His search for a shooting star (Claire Danes) leads him to a magical world where he meets the witch Larnia (Michelle Pfeiffer) and the pirate Captain Shakespeare (Robert de Niro).
