
The 23rd Football World Cup starts on June 11, so it is understandable that Netflix is also contributing to the anticipation. Shortly before the start of the tournament, the streaming service will release a series about the Norway football team, with top striker Erling Haaland as an absolute eye-catcher.
1998-2026
The qualification for the World Cup came as a great triumph for Norway, including Haaland and Martin Odegaard (Arsenal). The Scandinavian country is participating for the first time since 1998; in all subsequent editions the team missed out on qualification. In Norway: The Dark Horse, the country is presented as an outsider, a team to be reckoned with:

After qualifying in style, Norway goes into this summer’s tournament as a challenger in a tough group with former world champions France and African powerhouse Senegal. You can say that this is the ‘group of death’, and so it will be an immediate challenge for the Norwegians to advance to the knockout phase.
