On this Friday, June 5, the general secretary of the General Confederation of Labor (CGT) has just been re-elected, at the end of the organization’s 54th congress. Who would have imagined such a scenario three years ago? During this 2023 meeting marked by divisions, a consensus was finally formed around the name, until then unknown to the general public, of Sophie Binet, then head of the General Union of Engineers, Executives and Technicians (UGICT-CGT).
