Once you have immersed yourself in the criminal circuit, you can often only get out of it with the greatest possible effort. Yet the latter is in Lucky (2026) exactly what Anya Taylor-Joy’s main character has in mind. The trailer of the brand new crime series can now be seen.

Taylor-Joy (The Queen’s Gambit, Furiosa) plays a cunning criminal who has started to look at life differently due to events. Determined to leave her old life behind her, she embraces one last job. But it might ask more of her than she thought possible:
Shadow World
In addition to Taylor-Joy, the intense trailer for the newcomer also features Timothy Olyphant and multiple Oscar nominee Annette Bening (Apples Never Fall (2024)). One viewer compares the images to Christopher Nolan’s thriller Tenet (2020), and that doesn’t just have to do with the stuffy score and the tight editing rhythm. Yet it does not yet appear that the story will mess with the laws of time in a similar way. Showrunners Jonathan Tropper and Cassie Pappas are known for respectively Banshee (2013–2016) and the well-regarded Apple series Silo (2023– ).
