Law & Order (1990– ) debuted in 1990 and has since become a firm favorite among viewers. In 1999 the first spin-off was introduced: Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. This series, which stars Mariska Hargitay and Ice-T, follows an elite specialized unit of the New York Police Department, a team focused on investigating sex crimes.
