In a room at the Ateneu Popular de Nou Barris, a self-managed cultural center in Barcelona, Tomas, 58, attends a political and historical debate. Suddenly he stands up and speaks. Facing him, the sisters of Salvador Puig Antich, a Catalan anarchist activist executed by Franco’s police in Barcelona in the last years of the dictatorship. Turning to the two women, Tomas asks them for forgiveness in the name of a crime that he did not commit, but for which he knows his father is responsible.
