Netflix will release the British miniseries next week The Bombing of Pan Am 103 (2025). After a documentary and a series with Colin Firth, it is now Netflix’s turn to shape the story surrounding the attack on the scheduled flight in 1988. Where goes The Bombing of Pan Am 103 over?
On December 21, 1988, Pan Am Flight 103 exploded over the small Scottish town of Lockerbie, killing 270 people. What followed was the largest murder investigation in Scottish police history, into the deadliest terrorist act on British soil. Based on the testimonies of those who were there, this is the true story of the collaboration between Scottish police and US investigators and the families’ quest for justice.
Aftermath of the attack
The six-part series highlights the lives of the surviving relatives and explores the aftermath of the explosion and the painstaking investigation into the perpetrators. The series, available to stream from July 30, tells the story of the deadliest terrorist act in British history and the largest murder investigation in Scottish police history.
Connor Swindells en Patrick J. Adams
The new British miniseries has managed to put together a nice cast. The leading roles are played by Connor Swindells (Sex Education (2019–2023)), Patrick J. Adams (Suits (2011–2019)) a Merritt Wever (Severance (2022– )). It also stars Peter Mullan, Tony Curran, Eddie Marsan, Nicholas Gleaves and Kevin McKidd The Bombing of Pan Am 103.
