Summer Series: Spirit and Stone
Below the Bray priory, under an awning, Mathilde Perrichon has carefully spread chamomile flowers and California poppies on wooden drying frames. Accompanied by her intern Rémi, she prepares to slide the frames into a dark room, filled with a dense smell of dried flowers, where nearly sixty different species of aromatic and medicinal plants rest. After one or two days of drying, she will slip them into a bag to make herbal teas.
