Without Butler
It took some getting used to: Paris Has Fallen brought exactly the type of threat and spectacle that we knew from the films with Gerard Butler, only the regular portrayer of Mike Banning was not seen in the series. The story was set in the same world as the cinematic titles about the hardened bodyguard, and Butler also acted as producer.

Deadly virus
Not long after the release (in the Netherlands on Videoland) it was announced that there would be a sequel, and that is now definitely on the way. In Apollo Has Fallen agents Zara and Vincent (Ritua Arya and Tewfik Jallab, out Peace of Marseilles (2023– )) take on a ruthless band of mercenaries and their leader as they travel from Madrid to Libya in their mission to foil a new conspiracy. In the trailer we see, among other things, that a deadly virus is about to be released in a football stadium:

The same makers Paris Has Fallen have also moved to streaming Apollo Has Fallen compassion, so the advice seems clear: if you liked the previous spin-off series, then you should also like this successor. The series will be released in France as a Canal+ original. Confirmation of a Dutch release is still lacking: as soon as we have it, it will be updated on the series page. In the meantime, we are also waiting for the fourth part of the film series, in which Butler will reprise his leading role.
