Russian attacks down in June

The number of long-range drones and Russian missiles launched against Ukraine fell significantly in June compared to May, according to an analysis conducted on Wednesday July 1 by AFP using data from the Ukrainian Air Force, while kyiv intensified its own strikes against Russia.

Moscow launched 5,749 long-range drones and 180 missiles against Ukrainian territory outside the combat zone, according to data published daily by kyiv, a decrease of 29% and 15% respectively compared to May, and after several months marked by a record number of strikes.

However, these strikes caused significant damage and many victims. On June 2, a massive Russian attack carried out with 656 drones and 73 missiles left 23 dead, including 16 in Dnipro (center-east) and seven in kyiv, where around fifty people were also injured, according to the authorities. This is the largest number of drones and missiles launched by Russia on a single day in June.
