Violent storms which followed the heat wave which hit Europe left one dead in Romania and another in Austria, authorities announced on Wednesday.

In Romania, storms swept through several regions of the country, including the capital Bucharest, during the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, causing flooding in homes and uprooting trees.
Images broadcast by emergency services show teams clearing branches that have fallen on cars, while residents progress through flooded streets where water is up to their waists.
In Ganeasa, near Bucharest, a person was found dead in a car crushed by a falling tree, according to emergency services.
In Austria, storms have also hit several regions since Sunday, notably causing landslides in Tyrol.
A 26-year-old man died on Tuesday after being hit by a tree branch torn off by the storm in the Perg district of Upper Austria, according to police.
This bad weather comes after an exceptional heat wave lasting more than a week, during which several absolute temperature records were broken in Europe.
Climate change caused by human-caused greenhouse gas emissions is increasing the frequency and intensity of extreme weather events, scientists say.
