On June 3, Wim Wenders gave in. The German director had been pressed for fifteen years by actress Nastassja Kinski to remove a scene from his film False Movement, which he shot in 1974. The actress, who was then 13 years old, appeared wearing only panties, in a two-minute scene where the main character, a middle-aged man, himself in boxer shorts, was lying on top of her, slapping then caressing her face. Fifteen years after the actress’ request, Wim Wenders announced that he was removing the film from all viewing platforms. It was high time that he provided a first response to his request.
