The crew of the Artemis III mission will be made up of three American astronauts and one Italian astronaut.
NASA announced with great fanfare Tuesday morning that Andre Douglas, Frank Rubio, Randy Bresnik and Luca Parmitano will participate in the next Project Artemis mission, which aims to enable humanity to ensure a continued presence on the Moon.
Astronaut Bob Hines will accompany the crew in their training in order to be ready to replace one of them in the event of an emergency situation.
Unlike Artemis II, this mission will take place entirely in orbit around the Earth in order to test the equipment from SpaceX and Blue Origin which will be used to land on the Moon.
More details will follow…
