Netflix has the rights of The Northman (2022) secure. The adventurous action film with Alexander Skarsgård in the lead role appeared in the cinema in 2022 and can already be seen on the streaming service next week.
Out on revenge
The Northman takes place in Iceland in the tenth century and follows Alexander Skarsgård as Viking Amleth. After the murder of his father King Horvendill, he is out for revenge. Amleth promises to honor his father, to save his mother, Queen Gudrun and kill the perpetrator Fjölnir. He collects an army that will support him with this ultimate revenge.
