Four people, including a child, died on the night of Thursday to Friday in the fire of a building in Reims, according to a still provisional assessment communicated by the prefecture.
Another child is missing and two adults were seriously injured in this fire having declared to the fourth floor of a housing tower and who quickly spread to the upper floors, still according to the prefecture.
“Fire is currently off. The firefighters continue to ensure the recognition of the burned apartments, said the prefecture around 04:30 am.
Forty-resistant people were taken care of by the Red Cross in a gymnasium made available by the municipality.
The disaster building is in the Red Cross district, southwest of Reims.
The prefecture has listed 15 SDIS vehicles and 62 mobilized firefighters, as well as 20 national police officers, 20 municipal police officers and nine caregivers in the SMUR.
