Very good news for Harry Potter fans: Tom Felton will soon be seen as a bully Draco Malfoy. Unfortunately not in Untitled Harry Potter Series from HBO Max, but in the Broadway musical Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
Draco is back
The actor has just announced the good news with the video below on Instagram. From November 11 he will be shown in the show for 19 weeks, until March 22, 2026. This is Felton’s first time on Broadway. In the video we see how Draco now has long hair, just as his father always had in the films.
New generation
The long hair is a logical change to the well -known character, since the musical itself 19 years after the last Harry Potter-Film (and book) plays. Draco, Harry, Ron and Hermione are now parents and send their own children to Hogwarts. Felton says in a statement that the circle is around this role for him.
Part of the Harry Potter-Films has been one of the greatest problems in my life. Participating in this production is a moment of a complete circle for me, because when I start this fall with the performances in The Cursed ChildI am also exactly as old as Draco in the play. It is unreal to get back in his shoes – and of course in his iconic platinum blonde hair – and I think it’s great to be able to see his story and to be able to share it with the largest fang community in the world. I look forward to coming to this incredible company and being part of the Broadway community.
New children take over
In the meantime, fans are smartly waiting for the upcoming Harry Potter-Series of HBO Max. The streaming service recently announced who will take on the roles of Harry, Hermione and Ron. A new draco has not yet been found. Unfortunately, it is not yet known when the series will be on display.
