It should have been a megaluxe cruise, but ended into a smelly nightmare … The story of the four -day cruise of Galveston (Texas) to Cozumel (Mexico) is examined in Trainwreck: Poop Cruise (2025)a new documentary from Netflix. The streaming service has just been sharing the first trailer.
Passengers in rebellion
With 4,000 passengers and crew members on board, it should have been a top trip. But after a fire in the engine room has destroyed the electrical cables that power the entire ship, the ship continues to float without power for drive, cooling, lighting, air conditioning or … the worst of all, flushing toilets.
Soon there is unclean sewage water leaking all over the ship, the food supply starts to shrink and the passengers revolt. While the cruise company makes an effort to get the consequences under control, a media madness is created. Soon everyone is talking about ‘De Poepcruise’.
