It’s a simple walk that turned into drama this Wednesday afternoon in the Sceaux Park. A 70 -year -old man lost his life there, after being overthrown and crushed by a construction machine.
The terrible accident occurred around 3 p.m. The septuagenarian is then found in an alley bordered by trees, near the orangery and not far from the castle. High-leaf pruning operations are underway this afternoon. Several lifting devices equipped with a nacelle are at work.
To switch from one tree to another, at the controls of the vehicle, one of the pruners hires a reverse. Without realizing the presence of the old man, who is then struck and “crushed” according to a police source. The victim dies instantly, according to the medico-legal findings. It seems that no witness attended the terrible scene.

This is the second death in the departmental field of Sceaux in a few months. The death of this septuagenarian indeed takes place a little more than two months after the discovery by seven students of 5th in the school city Marie Curie, of the lifeless body of a man who had hung himself on a tree of the park March 28.
In the Hauts-de-Seine department, it is a new fatal accident caused by a site machine, just two weeks after a woman died crushed by a tractopel in Clichy. During this drama, the driver of the machine was also in shock.
