Almost 20 years ago, Isabelle Demongeot filed a complaint against Régis de Camaret, for rapes suffered between 1980 and 1989. If the facts concerning her were prescribed, the coach was sentenced to 10 years on appeal, 25 other victims having become known. For a long time, the former tennis player fought to be believed, to be rehabilitated by her own federation. Her story, she made it a book, which has just been reissued.
You had been one of the first sports people to denounce sexual violence in sport. Do you feel that things have evolved since?
