Almost a year ago Netflix announced a new thriller in collaboration with Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, RIP (2025). During the Tudum event last night, the two together with fellow cast members made a short appearance to officially announce the release date.

Damon and Affleck appeared on stage together with Teyana Taylor and Sasha Calle to announce that their new project can be seen together on Netflix from the beginning of 2026. There were even images available, but unfortunately these were only for those present. The RIP was written and directed by Joe Carnahan, known from, among others The Grey (2011). The film follows police officers from Miami who end up in a difficult situation after they discover millions of cash in a dilapidated storage place. As soon as their colleagues get air from the enormous find, mutual trust starts to seriously falter.

During the event, Damon and Affleck had the chance to meet an even larger star. Dressed as their characters from the film, the stars suddenly stood face to face with none other than Koekiemony, one of Netflix ‘newest acquisitions.
