The end is in sight. After two seasons full of nerve -racking tension, unpredictable turns and deadly games, the last chapter is approaching Squid Game (2021– ). At the end of this month the final season will finally appear on Netflix. Tonight the official trailer was unveiled, it promises to be a blood -curdling final. The images can now be seen.

In the third season we zoom in on player 456. He is determined to deal with the deadly game once and for all. Powered by revenge and sorrow about the death of his best friend Jung-Bae, he makes every effort to dismantle the system from within. In the trailer, 456 discovers the true identity of the front man and it becomes clear that he is in a world in which trust is a rarity. The biggest threat appears to be closer than he could ever have thought.

Since Squid Game appeared on Netflix about four years ago, the series is indispensable. Initially, nobody could have predicted that this South Korean production would become such a huge hit. The first season even grew into the most viewed series of all time in no time. In the meantime, the series has been overtaken by favorite Wednesday (2022– )but the performance has not become less impressive. The second season is also doing fantastic. In the meantime, the second season is in third place in the list of best -watched series of all time. Time will learn whether the last season of the series can reach the absolute top whether the new episodes are stuck in the shadow of season 1 and 2.
