Yesterday it was finally time, the big day for Ari Asters Eddington (2025). The film premiered during the Cannes Film Festival, where this production also participates in the competition. The film was greatly appreciated by the audience and Oscar winner Joaquin Phoenix absorbed the seven -minute applause emotionally.
Promising
It is the first time that one of his films has participated in the competition and it seems that he has immediately achieved success. His psychological western received a thunderous applause afterwards. Protagonist Phoenix had tears in his eyes while besides his fellow actors Emma Stone, Pedro Pascal, Austin Butler and Luke Grimes with some inconvenience thanked the audience.
The Pandemie
Eddington revolves around Sheriff Joe Cross who tries to keep the peace in the small town of the same name in New Mexico. The story is set in 2020, in the midst of the growing tensions and division caused by the pandemic. While the virus sows fear and uncertainty, Joe gets involved in a conflict with Mayor Ted Garcia.
Eddington Runs from mid -July in the cinema in the United States, the Dutch release has not yet been announced.
