The world championship leader responded. L’Australien Oscar Piastri (McLaren) will start in pole position of the Grand Prix of Emilie-Romagne on Sunday, after winning the best time of the qualifications disputed on Saturday in Italy, ahead of the title champion Max Verstappen (Red Bull).
The British George Russell (Mercedes) and Lando Norris (McLaren) will start from the second line, while the Ferrari by Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton will start from a distant sixth line. The French Isack Hadjar (Racing Bulls) and Pierre Gasly (Alpine) will start respectively in ninth and tenth position on the grid.
