At J-25 of the start-up, the meetings follow one another at T18. The teams are preparing the launch scheduled for Friday, June 6. And, according to our information, it is Laurent Ruquier which will kick off this new free channel, which will be broadcast on Canal 18 after the Grand Direction in the TNT numbering, following the closure of C8 and NRJ 12.
The host of RTL’s “big heads” will be the main face of this new channel where he will offer a cultural program each weekend. Logically it was he who was chosen to present from 7:45 pm “T18 is now”, a special program of about an hour, the very first of the existence of T18. It is Serge Khalfon, the director of “Everyone talks about it”, who will be at the controllers.
“We could have started at 0:01 or in the early morning but we wanted to start at a prime time, to be sure that the first steps of T18 are seen,” decrypts Christopher Baldelli, the president of this channel of the CMI media group of the Czech businessman Daniel Kretinsky, already owner, among others, of her and TV 7 days.
Cinema before 9 p.m.
This very first program will be an opportunity for T18, to present its general editorial line, its future programs and their presenters including Matthieu Croissandeau, ex-editorialist of BFMTV and Ava Djamshidi, the chief editor of Elle magazine.
At the end of “T18, it is now”, the first evening will offer a replay of the film “Yves Saint Laurent” by Jalil Lespert, which earned the César for best actor in Pierre Niney in 2015. “The film will start between 8:45 pm and 9 pm, which will be one of the T18 factory brands, which will systematically start its first part of the early evening programs,” insists Christopher Baldelli, who, on the programming side, has decided to take inspiration more arte than TMC or W 9 that start their films or magazines around 9:15 p.m..
At 10:30 p.m., Matthieu Croissandeau will present the very first of “to say everything”, his daily meeting on news. Contrary to what observers thought, this meeting will not be offered in Access Prime Time in the face of “Daily”, “C to you” or the new program of Cyril Hanounabut in the second half of the evening. A malignant programming strategy since competition at this hour is lower, which should allow “to say everything” to distinguish itself more easily.
