Disappeared au pair

When the young Filipino Au Pair Ruby disappears from one of the most well -to -do neighborhoods in Denmark north of Copenhagen, the neighbor Cecilie is convinced that something has happened to her. Cecilie’s own Au Pair, Angel, begins to investigate the rumors that are circulating among the many au pairs in the neighborhood. However, the case of the missing foreign national is a low priority for the police and the new detective Alicia needs all the help she can get.

Cecilie and Angel are ready to help, and gradually the power structures and privileges come to light within the beautiful houses. Nevertheless, Cecilie’s dedication to find out the truth is put to the test when Ruby’s disappearance reveals connections that reach into Cecilie’s own family. She is forced to confront her blind spots and see her family and the environment in which she raises her children in a whole new light.
