Keep walking until you are the only one left. That is the goal in the new thriller The Long Walk (2025)based on the book of the same name by Stephen King. The film by I AM Legend director Francis Lawrence will soon be published in the cinema and the frightening trailer can now be seen.
Three warnings
The story follows a group of boys in a dystopian society who participate in an annual walk without a destination that is broadcast on TV. The goal? Stay alive to win the cash prize. For miles, the teenagers have to keep walking while they are not allowed to take a rest and keep an even walk. If they don’t do that, they get three warning before they are out – forever.

The cast of the new thriller consists of Star Wars actor Mark Hamill, Judy Greer, Saturday Night actor Cooper Hoffman and Alien: Romulus actor David Jonsson. Tut Nyuot, Charlie Plummer, Ben Wang, Manifeste actor Garrett Wareing, Jordan Gonzalez, Josh Hamilton and Jojo Rabbit actor Roman Griffin Davis can also be seen in the film.

The bizarre story comes from the brain of the iconic writer Stephen King who also stories like It (2017), The Shining (1980) in The Boogeyman (2023) to his name.
