When Jason Corbett, an Irish widower and father of two young children, found love in 2008 with his American Au Pair Molly Martens, their relationship seemed to come out of a fairy tale book. Together with Jason’s children, Jack and Sarah, the couple moved from Ireland to North Carolina to build a new life together. But on August 2, 2015, their idyllic story took a dark turn when Jason was killed during a violent exchange of words at home. The perpetrators? Molly and her father, Thomas Martens – a former FBI agent.
