Good news for fans of medical dramas and Scandinavian series! The two will soon be combined in the very first Scandinavian medical drama series from Netflix. The recordings will start soon, but the title will remain secret for a while.
The workplace
In the emergency department it doesn’t matter who you are – rich or poor, carpenter or pastor. If you have broken something, if you bleed or if you need help, you will get it. Despite few staff, little time, maybe a cup of coffee too much and a demanding crowd of patients, a team of exhausted but resilient doctors and nurses is ready to help.
Sofia A surgeon with more talent than patience is sent to this chaotic environment to save her own career – the last place she wants to be. There she encounters disorder, resistance and something she never expected: warmth, community … and love. Suddenly she faces a choice: just go on her way to the top, or are part of something bigger – a band that she never knew she needed. A family.
Met Troll 2-actress
The lead role of Sofia is played by Post Mortem: Ingen Dør I Skarnes actress Sara Khorami. She will appear in soon Troll 2 (2025) And with the upcoming Norwegian medical drama, she will continue her collaboration with Netflix for a while. Konvoi director Henrik Martin Dahlbakken directs the episodes to a scenario of writers Harald Rosenløw-Eeg (The Wave (2015)) a Jan Trygve Røyneland (The spy (2019)).
The new series consists of eight episodes of which the recordings will soon start in Norway. The new medical drama is expected to be in the autumn of 2026 appear on Netflix.
