We have known for over two years that a fourth The Conjuring film is coming with the title The Conjuring: Last Ritesbut details about the story and the cast were waiting. That has now changed, because the makers spoke with Entertainment Weekly And not only revealed the first plot details, but also a very first look at the new film.
Last case of the Warrens
Just like the other Conjuring-Films is also Last Rites Based on the true paranormal matters of researchers Ed and Lorraine Warren, played by Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga. As the title already indicates Last Rites The last film by Wilson and Farmiga. After 12 years we will say goodbye to Ed and Lorraien Warren, but not before they pick up their last bizarre case.

Got house of the Smurl family
Last Rites takes place in 1986, five years after the events of The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It (2021). The Warrens withdrew from the Exorcist trade, largely due to ED’s heart attack, which he sustained during the demonic events in the third film. They still participate in the university circuit and give lectures at different schools, but even those possibilities start to dry up.
The case that is central is one of the most famous events in the Warrens career: the haunted house of the Smurl family. Janet and Jack Smurl moved with their families to a duplex home in the 70s, after which the family, including their young daughters and Jack’s parents, claimed to experience supernatural events, ranging from foreign scents and voices to spooky molestations.

Family Smurl
Memory actress Rebecca Calder and Elliot Cowan can be seen as Janet and Jack Smurl. The rest of the family is played by The Wonder actress Kíla Lord Cassidy, Beau Gadsdon, Tilly Walker, Molly Cartwright, Peter Wight and Defiance actress Kate Fahy.
Judy Warren
In addition to Wilson and Farmiga, Orion Smith and Madison Lawlor appear as the young versions of Ed and Lorrain Warren. Daughter Judy Warren will again be part of the story. Her role was first played by Sterling Jerins in the first two Conjuring-Movies, and then through McKenna Grace in Annabelle Comes Home (2019). Now we will get to know the 20-year-old Judy, played by The Lost Pirate Kingdom actress Mia Tomlinson. Tony Spera is also introduced, Judy’s boyfriend and now Skinie Man, played by Bohemian Rhapsody actor Ben Hardy.
