Netflix announced the release date on the basis of the first film picture of Jay Kelly (2025)a newly expected comedy starring George Clooney. As if that is not enough, the film can count on an additional cast with quite a few appealing actors.
Man of contradictions
“Everyone knows Jay Kelly, but Jay Kelly doesn’t know himself”. With that logline, Netflix today introduces the latest film from Noah Baumbach, the director we know from White Noise (2022) in Marriage Story (2019). The “heartbreaking” comedy will focus on the many contradictions of the title character, which is played by the valued George Clooney. The streaming service has not yet released anything about the further plot details.
Set
The ensemblecast that joins Clooney is quite impressive. Not only Adam Sandler (to be seen first this summer in Happy Gilmore 2 (2025)) has a role in the film, also Billy Crudup, Laura Dern, Eve Hewson, Greta Gerwig (Baumbach’s partner, ed.), Jim Broadbent, Emily Mortimer, Riley Keough, Alba Rohrwacher, Patrick Wilson, Stacy. Stacy. Sandler will play a character that is called (appropriately enough) Adam, but otherwise we know little again.
In the Netherlands will Jay Kelly Just like in the US in select cinemas, before the film appears 5 december On Netflix appears. Exactly how great the release of the comedy will be, and what the release date will be, the streaming service will later specify. For orientation: in the US the film is planned for November 15.
