A pass of arms took place in the media this weekend between the deputy for the republican right, Laurent Wauquiez, and the national coordinator of rebellious France, Manuel Bompard, after the first called on the “republican parties” to establish a “cordon cordon” around LFI.
“I call on all the Republican parties to establish a health cordon around LFI,” said the deputy of Haute-Loire on Saturday in an interview with Sunday newspaper. He accuses the radical left party of “instrumentalizing” the drama of The assassination of Aboubakar Cissé In a Gard mosque on April 25.
The right -wing politician does not mince his words accusing, among other things, his political enemies of being “a threat to the Republic” and for France, “the party of national destruction” and “a Trojan horse of Islamism”.
Laurent Wauquiez also announces his intention to propose to the National Assembly the creation of a commission of inquiry into “the links between rebellious France and Islamist networks”.
“Outrageous proposals”
The national coordinator of LFI responded to him on Sunday on LCI accusing him of being “drifting”.
“Each week, Mr. Wauquiez arrives with more outrageous proposals than the previous week,” tackled Manuel Bompard, taking the example of the idea of the right -wing deputy to send people under OQTF (obligation to leave French territory) dangerous on the island of Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon.
“I believe that this commission of inquiry will not see the light of day,” added the rebels denouncing measures that are “not serious”. According to him, Laurent Wauquiez’s attacks are the result of the battle he delivers with the Minister of the Interior Bruno Retailleau for the presidency of the Les Républicains party whose election is scheduled for May 17. “Mr. Wauquiez realizes that Mr. Retailleau competition in an equally outrageous way,” said Manuel Bompard.
