You just have to love it, the (dry) comic talent that has made a star of Rachel Sennott in recent years. The American actress gained popularity because of her roles in Indiekomedie Shiva Baby (2020) and successor Bottoms (2023)and last year HBO already considered the time ripe for a series under her creative management.
From pilot to series
In March 2024 reported Deadline That Sennott was allowed to work on his own television pilot for the production house. The try-outs will have liked it, because a few months later the actress already received green light to take steps towards a full season.

The conversion from pilot to series has had consequences for the casting of Sennotts Project. Deadline Let Miles Robbins, the actor who would play in the pilot next to Sennott, was replaced by Josh Hutcherson (The Hunger Games, Five Nights at Freddy’s). The character that the actor will play was partially rewritten after Sennott got green light to further develop the series. Robbins probably cost that.

Group of friends
Few details are known about the plot of the series, except that it is all about the experiences and mutual relationships within a group of friends. The friends have not seen each other for a while, as the provisional synopsis reads, and now come together again to discover how their different plans, dreams and ambitions have changed their bond.
Sennott has not only devised the comedy series, she will also take on a leading role and is one of the producers. Odessa A’Zion, Jordan Firstman and True Whitaker will also play distinguished roles, where we will see Leighton Meester and Quenlin Blackwell as guest stars.
No negative effect
In the year for the news about Sennotts series, the actress played a distinguished supporting role in the brightly criticized The Idol (2023)also from HBO. That negative publicity has therefore not hurt her, because the intention is that the still uncontrolled newcomer 2025 You can still see. Sennott can also be seen in Prime Video thriller Holland (2025)of which we recently also published our own review.
