The record had so far been held by a certain Kylian Mbappéthen aged 18 and 140 days. The French striker, on the side of his training club AS Monaco, had scored an anecdotal goal against Juventus Turin in the semi-final of the 2016-2017 edition. The young man had pushed the ball into the back of the nets at close range on a center of João Moutinho to allow the Monegasques, led 4-0 on the whole of the double confrontation, to reduce the gap, in vain.
