During the premiere of the fifth season of the Netflix series You (2018–2025) Prematist Penn Badgley was asked about his response to the death of his colleague Michelle Trachtenberg. The two could be seen together in Gossip Girl (2007–2012) As then Humphrey and Georgina Sparks. The question clearly released emotion at the star.
Childly cheerful
Badgley has good memories of Trachtenberg that was found dead at the end of February in her apartment in New York. He likes to think back to her lively personality and describes her sudden death as real ‘surreal’ and ‘very sad’.
What I remember from her is that she laughed a lot. She was really cheerful. We all have our ups and downs, our lights and shadows, but she had this, I mean she was adult, but she had a childish, happy smile.
Energetic
Badgley admits that he had not seen Trachtenberg for more than ten years and certainly did not want to claim that they knew each other well, but he will always remember her as someone with a pure heart. Previously others responded Gossip Girl-Collega’s on the tragic news. For example, Blake Lively said he reminded Trachtenberg as particularly energetic: “You knew when she came into the room, the energy changed. Everything she did, she did for 200%”. Chace Crawford also has good memories of Trachtenberg and describes her as ‘a natural force, unmistakably funny and magnetic’.
