Netflix has shared a new preview of the True Crime series Fred and Rose West: A British Horror Story (2025). The reconstruction of this true story will be published next month, and is about a couple who killed several young women over the course of many years.
Twelve women
Between 1967 and 1987, Fred West killed a total of twelve women, whom he had first raped and tortured. In some of these atrocities, the British received help from his second wife, Rose West. She is still alive and spends her time in prison. Fred West himself died in 1995.
Find of the daughter
In a new clip of the series we are introduced to a lawyer who was responsible for the judicial investigation into the murders. The man cites Heather West, one of the daughters of Fred and Rose. She disappeared without a trace in 1987. Her parents told their other children that she had left to work at a summer camp.
When Heather’s physical remains were found, the police initially thought that a horrible case had been dismissed. It only turned out to be the beginning:
The preview of the series is a supplement to the previously released trailer, which already gave an impression of how the series was structured. The makers are partly based on recently upright interrogations of the case and partly of reports of eyewitnesses.
