Every day we highlight the best film on TV so that choosing a film that can be seen on television becomes even easier. Also this week a number of good films will be broadcast, with our favorite of the week, DC film The Dark Knight (2008).

Paramount Network is sending today Watchmen (2009) out. In an alternative version of the America of 1985, where costumed superheroes are part of the daily society and the ‘Clock of the Day of Judgment’ – which maps the tensions between the US and the Soviet Union – is permanently set at five minutes before midnight. When one of his former colleagues is murdered, the masked civilian guard Rorschach will look for a conspiracy to kill and discredit all superheroes from the past and present. The film can also be seen via Pathé at home.
Tuesday is Blade Runner 2049 (2017) to see. The infamous ‘Blade Runner’ Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford) has disappeared since 2019. Now it is 2049 and replicants are closer to the people than ever before. Police officer K (Ryan Gosling) is appointed as new ‘Blade Runner’ and discovers a long hidden secret that can cause total chaos. His discovery leads him to deckard.
Wednesday will be DC film Batman Begins (2005) broadcast. The parents of the rich Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) are brutally murdered in front of the boy’s eyes. He decides to move to Asia where he is taken care of by Ninja leader Ra’s al-Ghul. When he is told that his city has been taken over by gang leaders and criminals, he decides to go back and become Batman. The DC film was nominated in 2006 for an Oscar for the best cinematography.
Thursday you immediately look at The Dark Knight (2008). Batman (Christian Bale) hopes to eradicate organized crime in Gotham for good together with the help of Lieutenant Jim Gordon (Gary Oldman) and public prosecutor Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart). But soon the three are stopped by The Joker (Heath Ledger).
Friday is it The Dark Knight Rises (2012). Eight years after the events in The Dark Knight We find gotham in a time of peace. This is due to Batman (Christian Bale) who takes the blame for the murder of Harvey Dent. However, a new villain called Bane (Tom Hardy) has arrived and he aims to take over the city and to reveal the truth behind who Harvey Dent really was.
Saturday is celebrated with Joker (2019). Arthur Fleck (Joaquin Phoenix) hopes to be a comedian, but suffers from many mental disorders, including one that ensures that he laughs uncontrolled when he is nervous. Arthurs spiritual condition ensures that almost all people in society reject him and look down on him, even though he only wants to be accepted by others. After being beaten up brutally, Arthurs life changes into a downward spiral of delusions, violence and anarchy.
The week ends with Schindler’s List (1993). During the Nazi regime, the vain and greedy German businessman Oskar Schindler (Liam Neeson) opens his factory as a refuge for Jews. The moving war film won no fewer than seven Oscars and is based on the true story of Oskar Schindler who managed to save 1100 Jews from a horrible death in a concentration camp.
