Professor of the Faculty of Industrial Technology of the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) Brian Yuliarto is said to be said to be appointed as Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Dictionary). Brian Yuliarto arrived at the State Palace ahead of the inauguration of a number of officials by President Prabowo Subianto this afternoon, Wednesday (2/19/2025).

Brian completed his undergraduate study at ITB, Bandung in 1999. Then continued his S2 education at the University of Tokyo, Japan in 2002 and completed his S3 at the University of Tokyo, Tokyo – Japan in 2005.

Brian had served as Dean of FTI in 2020-2024, then Visiting Professor Tsukuba University since 2021. He became the Head of Research Center on Nanoscience and Nanotechnology ITB in 2019-2020.

He was also the Head of the ITB Physics Engineering Study Program in 2016-2020, the Chairperson of the AFM FTI ITB KK in 2018-2020, and the Head of the ITB Student Agency (2010-2016).

He also received Habibie Prize 2024 in the category of engineering science, thanks to his research in porous nanomaterial engineering for sensor and energy application.
