Brad Pitt takes a seat in a Formula 1 car for his latest project F1 (2025) From Top Gun: Maverick director Joseph Kosinski. Delicate honor of the 75th year of Formula 1 we get a special look behind the scenes with the impressive recordings of the new racing film.

In the long-awaited Formula 1 racing film, Pitt plays the lead role of former driver Sonny Hayes who returns to Formula 1 and has to collaborate with his teammate Joshua Pearce (Damson Idris). Together they race for APXGP, a fictional team on the grid. Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies, Kim Bodnia and Javier Bardem can also be seen in the film.
Pioneering camera technology
The feature film was recorded during real Grand Prix weekends in which the team takes on the Titans of the Sport. How they have done that is revealed in a new Behind the Scenes Video. “The camera technology that we developed for Maverick was groundbreaking. For F1 We have further developed that technology, “says Kosinski.
Lewis Hamilton
Seven -time world champion Lewis Hamilton has contributed to the script and also participates in the project as a producer. “The F1 film is as authentic as a racing film has ever been,” said Hamilton. Because the recordings took place during real races, other drivers including Charles Leclerc also make an appearance in the racing spectacle.
The story follows a Formula 1 driver who comes out of his retirement to guide a younger driver and to work with him.
