Fans of Moordmysteries will soon have a mini series to add to their list. Netflix comes with The Residence (2025)a humorous whodunit-Series of Bridgerton maker Shonda Rhimes, set in the White House. The episodes of his next month can already be seen and Netflix is already sharing the trailer.

The Residence is a film adaptation of the book The Residence: Inside the Private World of the White House from Kate Anderson Brower. The new series is a detective that takes place in the White House, amidst the colorful staff of the world’s most famous country house.
Short Rhes
The leading role is reserved for UZO Aduba, who you can know from Orange Is the New Black (2013–2019) in Solos (2021). Ook the gentlemen-acteur Giancarlo Esposito, Edwina Findley, Ant-Man-ACTEUR Randall Park, Susan Barret Fo (NCIS: Los Angeles (2009–2023)) and singer Kylie Minogue can be seen in the series.
Seriemaker Rhimes is also the brain behind Scandal (2012–2018)that also takes place in the White House, and Grey’s Anatomy (2005– ). Next to Birdgerton she also made the successful Netflix series Inventing Anna (2022). It is therefore not surprising that the streaming service is happy to continue the collaboration.
