The new passenger terminal project at Guadalajara International Airport, in collaboration with Lamela Studio, was designed to offer an efficient and comfortable experience for passengers, with a clear separation of arrivals and exits flows.
Upon arrival at the terminal by land Independent exterior flows have been implemented for each type of transport, such as taxis, private vehicles, buses and leases, optimizing mobility and accessibility to the airport. These flows are designed to be highly efficient, reducing waiting times.
The passenger flow is separated into levels. The outputs are located in the second, which is accessed through an external dock and includes commercial areas, documentation and security control areas. From here the passengers arrive at the last wait room. This room leads to a boarding spring with 15 assisted positions that can work for both arrivals and outputs. The arrivals flow is organized on the ground floor, where passengers travel a hall of arrivals before passing through a migration room and accessing the luggage claim room. Trade areas are distributed when leaving the terminal.
The facade is designed with metal and cellosiah of sun protection, while the cover allows lighting input.
