Berlin | A 53 -year -old man was sentenced on Wednesday to three years in prison in Germany for wanting to sing Michael Schumacher’s family threatening to publish photos of the former Formula 1 champion.

Accused of complicity, his son was sentenced to six months suspended prison sentence by the Wuppertal court in western Germany.
The main accused, Yilmaz T., had tried to extract 15 million euros from the family of the car pilot by threatening them to publish photos and videos on the Darkwebhidden and opaque face of the web.
Her son Daniel helped him send data from a technically intraçable email address.
In addition to the two accused, a third man who worked as a security guard for Michael Schumacher’s family until March 2021 was sentenced to two years in prison suspended.
He had sold to the main accused, between October 2022 and May 2024, of photos and videos showing Michael Schumacher before and after his ski accident in 2013, that he would have copied without permission when he was employed by the pilot’s family.
Father and the son widely recognized the facts alleged against them and again apologized on Wednesday.
The former security employee denied any involvement through his lawyer and kept silent on the last day of the trial.
All three already had a criminal record before this case.
Since his accident at the end of 2013 in the French winter winter sports station, Michael Schumacher has not been seen in public and has been held out of the media.
The seven -time F1 champion underwent a serious head trauma, spent almost six months in an artificial coma and has been treated at his home in Switzerland.
