Johan Nijenhuis is a household name in the Netherlands Cinema country with his romcoms and feel -good films, and if a new title of the director has appeared, it usually never takes long before we can expect another audience favorite. This spring the time has come: the maker of The legs of Sint-Hildegard (2020) Strictly Sanne Vogel and Jan Kooijman for the hopefully heart -warming Daughters (2025).
Bucket list
Vera is determined to further finish the bucket list of her deceased husband and so she writes herself and her three daughters for a marathon. They are certainly not eager for enthusiasm because they are all three pressure with completely different things in their lives. What starts as a physical challenge quickly becomes an emotional journey for the women. Because holding on and believe in yourself, take you closer to your goals. And that does not only apply to the competition.

In addition to Vogel and Kooijman, Abbey Hoes, Barbara Sloesen, Anne-Mieke Ruyten, Edwin Jonker and Sinan Eroglu can also be seen in the Feelgood film. The story is an adaptation of Woman on the Runa cash register from the Czech Republic.
