The Wheel of Time (2021– ) is for prime video what Game of Thrones (2011–2019) For years was for HBO Max, albeit with less success. The greatly stuffed fantasy series stems from the celebrated book series by Robert Jordan and is ready for his third season at large intervals. Earlier images already revealed that the story would take a dark turn, and, following it, the trailer now brings expectations to a peak.
The final battle is approaching
In the new episodes, Miraine Damodred (Rosamund Pike), the powerful Aes Sedai, is chased by her visions of the future, while Rand Al’Tor (Josha Stradowski) struggles with his fate like the reborn dragon. Perrin, the good friend of Rand, starts a journey that will change his life.
Fourth book
The story of the third season is based on the fourth book, The Shadow Rising. The first three episodes will be on March 13 premiere on Prime Video, after which a new episode will follow every week up to and including the season finale on April 17. Based on this, the season, just like the previous two series of 8, will have episodes.
Future remains uncertain
Do you still catch unexpected hints or suggestions about season 3 in the trailer, which in the words of the streaming service is pre -sorting for a frantic final battle? Of course we keep an eye on news about a possible fourth season. The expectation is that Prime Video will first monitor the streaming figures for season 3, and so it will soon be mainly about how the story towards episode 8 will be completed.
