In the streets of Montpellier (Hérault), it is difficult to find a woman who has never been the victim. Street harassment would touch one in five Frenchwoman. “” “It goes for compliments, but in reality, when it is repeated every day, it’s rather tiring ”testifies a resident of the city.

In recent months, some stores have displayed stickers that have been part of the Angela system. The businesses then become refuge places which undertake to welcome victims of harassment or other types of violence.

In a bar belonging to the system of combating harassment last November and in the middle of the night, a woman took refuge there and confided in one of the waitresses. She claimed to undergo domestic violence.

Listening and giving suitable advice are good reflexes adopted during training. This is essential to integrate the Angela network.
