The president of USA, Donald Trumpordered this Friday, January 24, to cut federal funds aimed at financing or promoting elective abortions.
His executive order stressed that for almost 50 years Congress has annually enacted laws that prevent federal funding of the voluntary termination of pregnancy.
During the Democrat Administration Joe Biden (2021-2025), as he highlighted, this principle has not been respected. That’s why Trump pointed out that ends “the forced use of federal taxpayer money to fund or promote elective abortion.”

Trump Specifically, he revoked two executive orders promoted by the previous president.
One of them dates back to July 2022, a month after the US Supreme Court, with a Republican majority, revoked the federal abortion protection that had existed since 1973 and left policy in this regard in the hands of the states.
Since then, at the moment abortion is illegal or is severely restricted, with no exceptions for rape or incest, in 23 of the 50 US statesaccording to the Center for Reproductive Rights (CRR), an organization that defends the right to abortion.
The order of Biden pointed out that, in the face of the “health crisis” unleashed, the federal government was taking measures to protect the provision of health services and promote access to critical reproductive health services, including abortion. His second decree, of August 2022, was along the same lines.
The White House noted in the new executive order that the director of the Office of Management and Budget will promulgate guidelines to heads of departments and executive agencies related to the implementation of what is now agreed.
The decision comes the same day that a March for Life toured Washington against abortion.
In a video message, Trump He promised to support these activists: “In my second term, we will return to proudly defend families and the rights of the unbornprotecting them from the attacks of the radical left against the churches”, he told them.
