Apple is said to be releasing the iPhone 17 Air with a super thin body of only 6.25mm. If true, this makes it the thinnest iPhone ever, beating the record of the iPhone 6 which was 6.9mm thick.
Compared to the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus series, Apple’s new cellphone is 20 percent thinner. Not only that, compared to the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, the iPhone 17 Air is 25 percent thinner.
Interestingly, this model is rumored to be replacing the ‘Plus’ variant in Apple’s iPhone lineup. With a price range equivalent to the iPhone 16 Plus, namely USD 899 or Rp. 14.5 million in the United States.
If this price is true, then the iPhone 17 Air will be a special attraction for users who want an elegant cellphone with a thin design and great performance.
Apart from Apple, Samsung is also reportedly developing a super thin Android phone. The Galaxy S25 Slim is expected to have a body 6.5mm thick and above.
Although the design details and specifications of the iPhone 17 Air are still being debated, several sources agree that this Apple cellphone will have a 6.6 inch screen.
